Butlins Private Events
What to expect
So you have booked, or would like to book a break during one of the periods when Butlin’s hosts private events?
There are two main types of event:
Spring Harvest
The whole of the Butlin’s complex is run and managed by the Spring Harvest group. During this Monday to Friday Easter event, you can expect that no entertainment is available to caravan guests, unless you have also purchased Spring Harvest passes. Wristbands are still required, but are provided free of charge. The wristband will allow admission to Skyline, Swimming, Fairground and playgrounds. Shops and restaurants will also be open and available where space permits. Hotshots and Jellyfish lounge may operate restricted hours.
ESF (Children’s Football/Rugby/Netball)
These weekend events usually takes over all the accommodation at Butlin’s, however all venues remain open. You can expect some disruption, including the closure of at least one venue on the Sunday for presentations. Wristbands are required, and included in the price. Most children’s bookable activities are available, for example T-Shirt printing, Climbing wall, High Ropes, Archery and Laser Tag. Swimming, play grounds and fair grounds are open too. Shows are usually limited to Red coats, tribute acts, Karaoke and DJs. Peppa pig usually makes an appearance too!
Note from ESF Events for people wishing to attend these festivals: Accommodation for your whole group, including players, club officials and families/spectators, must be booked through ESF Events. Individuals who are not booked through ESF Events are not part of the event and do not have permission to attend the playing venues as a player, official or spectator, or to attend the presentation ceremonies at Butlin’s. If members of your group (players, club officials, spectators) attend the event but have not booked accommodation through ESF Events, the team will not be permitted to participate in the festival.
